How to Birth a Mother

The Program

You have done this before. You know what they did. This time it goes differently.

Four phases. Positive test to six months postpartum. One person in your corner the whole way.

20+ YEARS AS A DOULA. 8 CHILDREN. 4 HOME BIRTHS. TRAINED NURSE.

The Program: Birth on Your Terms

You did not come here for fluff.

You already know what happened. You already know it was wrong. You are not looking for someone to hold your hand and tell you it will be fine. You are looking for someone who has been in that room, who knows what they do when you stop asking questions, and who will make sure it does not happen again.

Eight births. Four at home. Twenty years of this. I went first so you do not have to guess.

She gave me the confidence to say no when it mattered. My second birth was mine.

Future client testimonial

Four phases. One journey from fear to power. Everything you need to reclaim your birth, from the moment you decide to long after your baby arrives.

Phase 1

Weeks 1 to 20

The Wake-Up

You learn what nobody told you. And everything changes.

Most women walk into their second pregnancy still carrying the first one. The decisions made without them. The moments they went quiet when they should have been heard. We start there.

  • Your rights in the hospital system. The full picture, not the pamphlet version.
  • Every intervention you will be offered and why they actually offer it.
  • How to read your own body's signals and what to do with them.
  • Who is in your birth room and what each person's job is.
  • How to stop being the patient and start being the one who decides.

By week 20, birth is no longer something happening to you.

Phase 2 · Weeks 20 to 36

The Battle Plan

You and your partner become a team. The hospital meets a woman who knows exactly what she wants.

Knowledge without a plan is just anxiety with better vocabulary.

A birth plan written so hospitals take it seriously. Two sessions with your partner: what he will see, what he will feel, what to do at every stage.Breathing, positioning, pain management without medication. The exact words they will use to pressure you, and how to respond.Breastfeeding preparation before birth, so the first hours are not the first lesson.Newborn care and what to expect on day one.

You and your partner walk into that room prepared. Not hoping.

Phase 3 · Active labor + 72 hours

The Moment

You are not doing this alone. Not for a second.

This is why you hired me. 3 AM on a Tuesday, noon on Christmas. I answer.

Text and call access from first sign of active labor. No voicemail.

Backup when the hospital applies pressure during labor.

First hours covered: skin-to-skin, breastfeeding, what is normal and what is not.

Discharge strategy. When to stay, when to leave, what to watch for at home.

You do not face that room alone.

Phase 4 · 1 to 24 weeks postpartum

The Fourth Trimester

The part nobody prepares you for. I do.

The system moves on the moment you leave the hospital. I do not.

  • Breastfeeding troubleshooting through week 12. When it hurts, when supply drops, when someone tells you to quit.
  • Physical recovery. What is normal, what is not, when to demand more care.
  • What the baby is telling you and how to respond.
  • Sibling adjustment for families with older children.
  • The emotional reality of postpartum. All of it. Without the clinical labels.

I stay when everyone else leaves.

The Guarantee

Complete every phase. Show up to every session. If you do not walk into your birth room feeling prepared and informed, I refund you in full.

Capacity

Maximum 4 women in active labor support at any time. When those spots fill, a waitlist opens. That is what being available at 3 AM costs.
